Charlotte, NC Intimate Wedding

I can’t get enough of intimate backyard weddings. Karla + Michael live in Los Angeles, California but wanted to get married at Michael’s childhood home in Charlotte, NC. I spoke with Karla a couple months before their wedding and quickly jumped on board bc they sounded like just the sweetest people.

Their wedding day started with lots of rain but stopped just in time for their backyard ceremony. Karla was simply glowing. She walked down the aisle to “Here comes the Sun” by the Beatles wearing the most stunning halo crown and a teary smile. (The bride entering is my absolute favorite moment.) I love feeling the emotion that just radiates through the brides eyes. I love seeing the looks on the faces of all the loved ones watching her (People of all walks of her life – new and old), especially the groom. Michael was crying. I was crying. Everyone was crying, and it was absolutely perfect.

After the ceremony ended, everyone gathered in the coolest reception possible. The tent was decorated in gorgeous candles, lights, and lanterns. They transformed their garage into it’s own little restaurant with bar, charcuterie cart and food truck outside! It was the perfect intimate wedding full of so much love.
